This Privacy Policy describes how Meloyra (“Meloyra”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, shares, and protects your personal information when you visit, use, or make a purchase from meloyra.com or otherwise communicate with us (collectively, the “Services”). “You” means a user, visitor, or customer of the Services.

If you have any questions, you can contact us at any time at support@meloyra.com.

Please read this Privacy Policy carefully. By using the Services, you consent to the collection, use and disclosure of your personal information as described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.

When you use the Services, we automatically collect information about your device and how you interact with our site, including:

  • Device and browser information (IP address, device type, browser type, operating system).
  • Usage data (pages viewed, products viewed, items added to your cart, links clicked, the site you came from, and dates/times of access).

This information is collected using cookies, pixels, and similar technologies (see Section 4).

Information we receive from third parties

We may receive information about you from service providers and partners, such as Shopify (our e-commerce platform), payment processors, shipping, tracking and fulfilment partners, and advertising and analytics providers.

2. HOW WE USE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION

We use your personal information to:

  • Provide and operate the Services, process and fulfil your orders, and manage your account.
  • Process payments and prevent fraud.
  • Send you order confirmations, shipping and tracking updates.
  • Communicate with you about your orders, returns, exchanges, Shipping Protection claims and customer service requests.

  • Comply with our legal obligations and enforce our terms.

We only collect and use personal information for purposes that a reasonable person would consider appropriate in the circumstances. If we want to use your information for a new purpose, we will ask for your consent where required by law.

3. PAYMENTS

Payments are processed by third-party payment providers (such as Shopify Payments, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Shop Pay and other providers you may select at checkout). Your card details are handled directly by these providers under their own security standards (PCI-DSS). We do not store your full payment card details on our systems.

4. COOKIES AND TRACKING TECHNOLOGIES

We use cookies and similar technologies to operate our site, keep items in your cart, remember your preferences, analyse traffic, and support marketing. Some cookies are essential for the site to function; others are optional.

You can control cookies through the cookie banner on our site and through your browser settings. Blocking some cookies may affect how the site works.

We honour recognised opt-out preference signals, including the Global Privacy Control (GPC), where required by applicable law.

5. HOW WE SHARE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION

We share personal information only as needed to run our business and provide the Services. We may share it with:

  • Service providers who work on our behalf, such as our e-commerce platform (Shopify), hosting providers, apps we use on our store, and IT support.
  • Payment processors, to handle transactions securely.
  • Shipping, logistics, tracking and fulfilment partners (including product suppliers and postal carriers such as USPS), so your order can be delivered and tracked.
  • Marketing, advertising, and analytics providers, to help us reach and understand our customers.
  • Professional advisers and authorities, where required by law or to protect our legal rights.
  • A buyer or successor, in the event of a merger, sale, or reorganisation of our business.

Our service providers may only use your personal information to provide services to us, and are required to protect it.

We do not sell your personal information for money. However, some of our data sharing for online advertising and analytics (for example, through advertising cookies) may involve sharing information with advertising partners. We only use advertising cookies with your consent, which you can withdraw at any time through our cookie banner. See Section 8.

6. WHERE YOUR INFORMATION IS STORED AND PROCESSED

Meloyra serves customers in the United States. Your personal information is processed within the European Union (including the Netherlands, where our business is based) and may also be processed outside the European Economic Area, for example in the United States or in countries where our fulfilment partners operate. Whenever your information is transferred outside the EEA, we rely on appropriate safeguards, such as an adequacy decision of the European Commission or the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.

When your information is processed in another country, it is subject to the laws of that country and may be accessible to the courts, law enforcement and national security authorities of that country. We take reasonable steps to make sure your information receives an appropriate level of protection wherever it is processed.

7. LEGAL BASIS FOR PROCESSING

Under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), we process your personal information on the following legal bases: to perform our contract with you (for example, to process, ship and support your order); to comply with legal obligations (for example, tax and accounting rules); for our legitimate interests (for example, preventing fraud and improving our Services); and with your consent where required (for example, for marketing emails and non-essential cookies). You can withdraw your consent at any time.

8. YOUR PRIVACY RIGHTS

Under the GDPR, you have the right, subject to certain exceptions, to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you.
  • Ask us to correct personal information that is inaccurate or incomplete.
  • Ask us to delete your personal information.
  • Restrict or object to our processing of your personal information, including for direct marketing.
  • Receive your personal information in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format (data portability).
  • Withdraw your consent at any time, where we rely on consent.

To make a request, email us at support@meloyra.com. We may need to verify your identity before responding, and we will respond within one month.

If you are not satisfied with how we handled your request or your personal information, please contact us first so we can try to resolve it. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens, www.autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl), as our business is established in the Netherlands.

9. MARKETING EMAILS AND TEXT MESSAGES

We only send you marketing emails or text messages about our products and offers if you have given us your consent, or where otherwise permitted by law, including the CAN-SPAM Act and the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA).

You can withdraw your consent at any time. Use the “unsubscribe” link in any marketing email, or reply STOP to any text message. Message and data rates may apply. We will process your request promptly. Opting out of marketing does not stop transactional messages about your orders, such as order confirmations and shipping updates.

10. HOW LONG WE KEEP YOUR INFORMATION

We keep your personal information only for as long as necessary for the purposes described in this policy, for example to fulfil your orders, handle returns and claims, maintain your account, comply with our legal and tax obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When it is no longer needed, we securely delete or anonymise it.

11. DATA SECURITY

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your personal information against loss, theft and unauthorised access, use or disclosure. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please keep your account password confidential and contact us immediately if you believe your account has been compromised.

If a privacy breach involving your personal information creates a real risk of significant harm to you, we will notify you and the relevant authorities as required by law.

12. CHILDREN’S PRIVACY

The Services are not intended for children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at support@meloyra.com and we will delete it.

13. THIRD-PARTY LINKS

Our site may contain links to other websites that we do not operate. This Privacy Policy does not apply to those sites, and we are not responsible for their content or privacy practices. We encourage you to read the privacy policy of any site you visit.

14. CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal reasons. We will post the updated version on this page and update the “Last updated” date above.
